EXAT held a Pre-Tender Meeting for the Kathu-Patong Expressway Project, Phuket Province, to make ready for the tender submission on 7 Apr., 2023

Mr. Surachet Laopoonsuk, Expressway Authority of Thailand’s Governor, chaired the Pre-Tender Meeting for the Kathu-Patong Expressway Project, Phuket Province, along with Mr. Gardphajon Udomdhammabhakdi, Deputy Governor for Strategy and Planning, and the consulting team led by Mr. Somchai Jarukasemratana, on 31 Jan., 2023, at Meeting Room No. 0307, Expressway Administration Center, Expressway Authority of Thailand.  The meeting aimed to provide private entities with project details and information on how to prepare proposals correctly and accurately in addition to making clarifications in the areas concerned, so that the quality proposals could be properly produced This was a preparation stage prior to tender submission, with 53 attendees from the private sector.

EXAT Arranged a Private Sector’s Opinion Hearing Session for Kathu – Patong Expressway Project, Phuket Province
 
Mr. Surachet Laophulsuk, Governor of the Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT), presided over a Private Sector’s Opinion Hearing Exercise for the Kathu – Patong Expressway Project, Phuket Province, along with Mr. Katphajon Udomthamphakdi, Deputy Governor of the Policy and Planning Department, and a team of consultants led by Mr. Somchai Jarukasemratana, the Project Manager, on 11 July, 2022, at Le Concorde Ballroom, 2nd Floor, Swissotel Bangkok Ratchada.  The session aims to take into account the attendees’ feedbacks and comments for preparing the project Draft Invitation to Tender, Draft Request for Proposal and Draft PPP Contract, in accordance with the Public-Private Partnership Act, B.E. 2562 (2019).  An invitation to tender is anticipated by 2023.  The session welcomed 180 attendees in total, including investors, financial institutions and private entities, 104 of which participated onsite and the other 76 online, via Zoom.
 
The focus group afternoon session had the attendees divided into 2 groups.  Group 1, which was related to finance, investment and PPP contract, consisted of 63 people, 19 of which were onsite and the other 44 online.  Group 2, which was related to construction, operation and maintenance, consisted of 46 people, 33 of which were onsite and the other 13 online.
